Document readiness & team handoffs
Workflow concept · fictional records · no live connections
Make missing documents and engagement ownership visible as work moves between registration, compliance and accounts.
For multi-service practices and compliance delivery teams.
A useful first scope
One service transition, one agreed checklist and a small sample of anonymized engagements, with clear ownership.
What goes in
- A fictional client engagement and a service-specific checklist.
- Document metadata such as type, version, received date and reviewer status.
- A named handoff from one internal team to another.
What comes out
- A readiness checklist separating received, rejected, pending-review and approved items.
- A missing-item request draft and current owner.
- A handoff record and a visible event history.
How a reviewer would use it
- Engagement list: show two fictional clients, service, owner and document-readiness state.
- Checklist: open one engagement and inspect document metadata, versions and reviewer status.
- Request draft: build a copyable missing-item message without sending email or WhatsApp.
- Handoff: enable only when all required documents are approved; show a reason when blocked and an event trail after approval.
Inspect the fictional records and expected results

Rules and assumptions
- Metadata and files are fictional. Do not request real PAN, Aadhaar, bank records or credentials.
- Received does not mean approved. Optional records do not block readiness.
- E001 has one required approved, one pending review and one missing record; its handoff starts blocked.
- Allow the viewer to mark a synthetic version received, approve/reject it, and then hand off when all required items are approved.
- Show the action, prior/new state, role and browser timestamp in an append-only demonstration event list. Label it non-production, not a secure audit log.
What should be checkable
- E001 starts with 1 of 3 required items approved. E002 starts ready with 2 of 2 approved.
- A handoff attempt for E001 explains both blockers: Address proof pending review and Incorporation details missing.
- Approving Address proof alone leaves the handoff blocked.
- After receiving and approving fictional Incorporation details, E001 can hand off; an event is added.
- Reset returns the exact initial states and no message is actually sent.
Agree the boundary
No upload backend, OCR accuracy claims or automated deadline/legal interpretation. The demonstration can represent uploads with synthetic metadata only.
